Vmware server 1.0.1 and linux kernel 2.6.19

Few days ago, I made a small patch to compile the vmware module for kernel 2.6.19. In some case, this patch stop the network communication between the host OS and the guest OS.

I release a new version of the patch, available here (follow the same instruction as previous one to install it).

Je ne comprenais pas pourquoi ça ne marchait pas, j'avais déja eu la surprise de constater que iptables ne se configurait plus de la même façon dans pour le noyau 2.6.19..Et je pensais que ça venait de mes options de compilation.

Je n'avais pas encore compilé de noyau 2.6.20 car pas de patch ck disponible.
C'est chose faite maintenant et voici donc le patch vmware server pour le 2.6.20.

Salut et merci mais j'avais trouvé entre deux la soluce. Il suffit de mettre en rem un ligne dans le fichier compat_kernel.h
du tarball vmmon.tar :
/
static inline _syscall1(int, compat_exit, int, exit_code);
/

Ceci dit le tarball vmnet.tar vient toujours de chez toi :-)
